What rests beyond the "pose" of you?
🤷♀️❤️😳
.
Could we chew on that question?
.
What does this question even mean?
.
My personal enquiry is often around my interest to feel & sense Life….Feel its essence in its pure form, a form that rests beyond the format, beyond the formatted yoga poses and beyond all these «poses» I (have to) take or perform, subconsciously or not, in my life.
.
I keep wondering: who am I beyond these (formatted) poses? Who or what gets to decide or give authority to poses/formats? Is there exclusivity in such authority?
.
This type of questions tends to accompany me, in my quest for greater "liberation" or "freedom" for all. I know these are loaded words, which I choose and write here very carefully, as they mean different things to different people, in different contexts (self disclaimer, as my words in this text come from a very self aware privileged lens).
.
As I move through my own daily life, I cannot help than noticing the variety of formats (including in my beloved yoga world). In my yoga practice, I do feel at times overwhelmingly surrounded by a world or propositions of poses (be body or mind levels). Is that it? I always ask....
.
In this world of Truth telling, can we become a prisoner of all these poses, be physical or philosophical?
.
Where is the space for Truth experiencing?
.
Who I am truly?….How can I respond to this if only surrounded by poses and society postures? It gets tricky.
.
Beyond that yoga pose,
Beyond my habits on/out of my yoga,
Beyond the various societal conditionings,
Beyond my wounds,
Beyond my work,
Beyond what I think I am,
Beyond the yoga sacred texts I study,
Beyond my sadhana....
....What is resting beyond all of this?
.
No need for a revolution, and banish all these postures or poses we have in our life…What seems interesting is the awareness that we are these poses as much as we are not.
.
Oh, my loves, that is my forever enquiry. What is in the nest of Aliveness?
.
« Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer. » Rainer Maria Rilke.
.
I take your advice seriously dear Rainer...as increasingly, I am loving the questions...and loving, what is, actually, beyond the question itself.
